Service Policy

Please read the following terms and conditions before completing your booking.

Beauty Haus Melbourne

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS / SERVICE POLICY
By placing a booking and paying a deposit with Beauty House Melbourne, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all policies below.

 

1. DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS (STRICT POLICY)
All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure the appointment.
Once a deposit is paid:
   •    NO refunds
   •    NO credits
   •    NO transfers to another person or date
   •    The deposit secures your booking and blocks the time slot, making it unavailable to other clients.
This policy applies under ALL circumstances, including but not limited to:
   •    Event or wedding cancellation
   •    Change of mind
   •    Illness or sickness
   •    Emergencies
   •    Family matters
   •    Death
   •    No-shows
There are NO exceptions.
We do not tolerate arguments, pressure, or emotional disputes regarding deposits.

2. FINAL PAYMENTS
   •    The remaining balance must be paid on the day of service.
   •    Payment is required regardless of who shows up or does not show up.
Example:
If 5 services are booked and only 4 people attend, payment for all 5 services is still required, even if one person did not receive their service.
No delays or disputes will be accepted due to:
   •    Late family members
   •    Change of plans
   •    Client deciding not to proceed on the day
Failure to pay will result in services stopping immediately.

3. TRAVELLING TO CLIENTS’ HOMES – SETUP REQUIREMENTS
When Beauty House Melbourne travels to your home, the following must be provided:

 

Workspace Requirements
A standard trestle table:
   •    Approx. 180cm (L) x 75cm (W) x 74cm (H)
   •    Nearby power points
   •    Extension cords
   •    Good lighting, preferably near a window
   •    A spacious, well-ventilated area
   •    Heating in cold weather / Cooling in hot weather


 We will not work:
   •    In cramped rooms
   •    On floors, beds, or small side tables
   •    In unsafe, uncomfortable, or chaotic environments

4. ENVIRONMENT & BEHAVIOUR
   •    NO pets allowed in the workspace.
   •    NO opinionated family members or friends giving feedback or instructions.
   •    NO intimidating, rude, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour towards staff.
Any disrespect or hostility will result in immediate termination of services with full payment still required.

5. INSPO IMAGES
   •    All clients must have inspiration photos ready.
   •    Verbal descriptions alone are not sufficient.
The final result will be guided by:
   •    Client’s features
   •    Hair type
   •    Skin type
   •    Professional judgement of the artist

6. HAIR & HIJAB STYLING POLICIES
Hair Preparation
   •    Hair must be smoothed/prepped the night before, not on the same day.
   •    Heat styling on the same day affects hold and results.

Stylist’s Professional Judgement
If a style is not achievable due to:
   •    Hair length
   •    Hair density
   •    Texture
   •    Condition
The stylist’s recommendation must be followed.

Change of Style
   •    If a style is completed and the client requests a new or different style:
   •    This will be charged as a new service
   •    Applies to hair styling and hijab styling

Hijabs
Hijabs must be:
   •    Ironed/steamed
   •    Straightened
   •    Hijab stylists do not iron or steam scarves.
Please avoid re-folding scarves before your appointment.

7. MAKEUP PREPARATION & REQUIREMENTS
   •    NO eyelash extensions
(Extra charges apply if present due to extended application time)

 

Face must be:
   •    Clean
   •    Bare
   •    No moisturiser
   •    No sunscreen

 

Clients are responsible for maintaining good skincare prior to their appointment to achieve optimal results.

 

8. CHILDREN, BABIES & PRAMS (VERY STRICT)
In-Studio
   •    NO children
   •    NO babies
   •    NO prams
We do not provide childcare and take no responsibility for children.

At Client Homes
The environment must be:
   •    Calm
   •    Safe
   •    Distraction-free
   •    No children near staff while working
   •    No breastfeeding while services are being performed
(This is unsafe and disrupts the service)

 

9. FEMALE-ONLY POLICY
Beauty House Melbourne is a female-only studio.
NO males are permitted on the premises, including:
   •    Husbands
   •    Fiancés
   •    Boyfriends
   •    Sons
   •    Friends
Clients must ensure males do not enter during drop-off or pick-up.

 

Travelling to Homes
   •    We strongly prefer no males present while we are working.
   •    This ensures comfort, privacy, and safety for our female staff.

 

10. LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
We kindly ask all clients to arrive on time for their scheduled appointment. Our staff work on strict appointment schedules and are unable to wait for late arrivals.
   •    A late fee of $1 per minute will apply from the scheduled appointment start time. This fee applies whether or not you notify us that you are running late.
   •    Appointment times are not extended to accommodate late arrivals. Your service will still end at the originally scheduled time to respect following clients.
   •    If the stylist has subsequent bookings, they reserve the right to cancel the appointment if the delay impacts their schedule.
   •    In the event of cancellation due to lateness, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

By booking an appointment with us, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

 

11. PARKING & SAFETY
   •    A safe and accessible parking spot must be available for staff upon arrival.
   •    We are not responsible for parking fines or unsafe parking conditions.

 

12. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
   •    Clients must keep all belongings with them at all times.
   •    Beauty House Melbourne is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
   •    Lost items (if found) will be held for 24–48 hours only.
   •    After this time, items may be donated or disposed of.

13. STUDIO RULES & DAMAGES
   •    NO glittery dresses permitted in the studio.
   •    If glitter causes mess, professional cleaning fees will apply.
   •    NO food or drinks unless approved by the owner.
   •    Any damage, spills, or breakages caused by the client will be charged accordingly.
